Dave katona - Detroit & mackinac (HO)

This layout will be available for viewing on Tuesday, July 15th.

Dave’s layout represents the Detroit & Mackinac Railway around 1968. Under construction, the first phase consists of about 50 ft. of mainline covering from staging (Bay City) to Oscoda. This section features the gypsum operation at Alabaster, the yard and shop buildings at Tawas City, and fuel unloading for the air force base at Oscoda. Most buildings are mock-ups, but scenery work is progressing (about 40% complete). Planned future construction will include the rest of the mainline north to Alpena (featuring the large cement plant) and Cheboygan.
